This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Pieces: Block Puzzle! ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. The App is provided by Nish Games, operated by Sarp Eroğlu ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App you agree to this Policy.
We do not use your player account, your cloud save, or your leaderboard entries for advertising or profiling, and we do not sell or rent them. Ads are served by Google AdMob using the data described in section 3.
We rely on the following services:
The App shows full-screen ads at certain points in the game, for example between levels and after a Time Attack run. Ads are never shown while you are playing a board. The ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show ads, measure how they perform, limit how often you see the same ad, and prevent fraud, AdMob collects the following directly from your device:
Google uses this data under its own privacy policy and acts as an independent controller for its advertising purposes. We do not receive your advertising identifier or your ad interactions; AdMob only gives us aggregated reports, such as how many ads were shown. See How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
Your choices.
We ask Google to limit ad content to material suitable for teenagers and older. Ads are not targeted at children, and the App is not directed to children (see section 7).
We do not sell your personal data for money. We share data only with the services listed in section 3 and where required by law; Google AdMob collects the advertising data described in section 3 directly from your device (see "Your choices" there for the US state law meaning of "selling" and "sharing"). Other players can see your public leaderboard entries: your player name (and the unique username it is based on), your avatar, your highest solved Journey level, your best Time Attack result of the current week (that leaderboard starts over every Monday), the times those scores were last updated, and your Daily Puzzle solve time together with the calendar day it was recorded. Your cloud save (progress and daily history) is readable only by you. Nothing else about you is visible to other players.
Where the GDPR or Turkish KVKK applies, we process your data on the bases of performance of our contract with you (providing the game), our legitimate interests (security and abuse prevention), and your consent where required, including for personalized advertising and for storing or accessing information on your device for advertising. You can withdraw that consent at any time as described in section 3.
We keep your player account data until you delete it. You can delete your account and data at any time inside the App: open Settings and tap Delete Account in the Account section. This applies to players who signed in and to players who only ever played anonymously. Deletion permanently removes your player account, your cloud save (progress, Gold, hints, avatars, and piece skins), your player name and avatar, your leaderboard entries (Journey, Time Attack, and every Daily Puzzle day you played), your trophies, and your sign-in credentials with our authentication provider; if you signed in with Apple, the Sign in with Apple authorization is revoked as well. Purchase records are detached from your account (the identifier is removed) but kept without any link to you, because the stores may still report a refund for them. The App then clears its local files and starts fresh. Only its settings (such as volume, haptics, and language) and the list of days on which the Daily Puzzle was played on the device stay; they are not linked to any account.
One record outlives the deletion: a deletion marker that holds only your former random account identifier and the date of deletion. It is linked to nothing else and exists so that a device still holding the old session cannot write new data under that identifier. It is kept indefinitely. For each closed Daily Puzzle day and Time Attack week we also keep a record of the places and results for which trophies were awarded (for example "first place, 0:33"), without any account identifier or player name, so that no trophy is ever awarded twice; it cannot be linked to you.
If you play as a guest and then sign in with an Apple or Google account that already has a Pieces account, the App switches to that account and leaves the guest account behind; the App warns you before this happens. The guest account's data stays on our servers: its guest name, leaderboard entries and trophies, its progress, and its Gold, hints, and items. Because the App no longer holds that guest session, this data cannot be deleted from inside the App. Email us the guest player name (for example "Wolf483") and we will delete it. Signing in with an Apple or Google account that has not been used in Pieces before turns your guest account into that account and leaves nothing behind.
In rare cases a Daily Puzzle entry recorded on a device that never synchronized with your account may remain; it contains only the player name used at the time and a solve time, and it is no longer linked to any account. Residual copies may persist briefly in routine backups before being overwritten. You may also request deletion without the App, by email, as described at /delete-account.
Deleting your account does not reach the advertising data that Google AdMob collected, because we never hold it: it is linked to your device's advertising identifier, not to your player account. You can reset or delete that identifier in your device settings (section 3) and manage your data with Google under the Google Privacy Policy.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including on Google's infrastructure. We rely on the safeguards offered by these providers, such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored on Google Firebase with access rules that let each player write only their own records. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
