This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Letter Spill: Word Duel ("the App") collects, uses, and protects your information. The App is provided by Nish Games, operated by Sarp Eroğlu ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account and identity. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and (if available) profile photo to create your account. If you play as a guest, an anonymous account is created with no personal identifiers. Your email address is held by our authentication provider and is not shown to other players.
Profile. The username and display name you choose, and your selected avatar/frame.
Gameplay data. Scores, ranking/rating, games played and won, gold balance, in-app purchases, saved games, equipped skins, and the personal word list ("dictionary") you save.
Social features. Your friends list, friend requests, blocked users, head-to-head records, and the chat messages you send to other players. Messages are visible to their recipient.
On-device settings. Sound, voice, and vibration preferences and tutorial progress are stored only on your device.
Word lookups. When you look up a word definition, that word is sent to a third-party dictionary service to retrieve the definition.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data, and the App contains no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and operate your account and provide the game.
To run real-time multiplayer, leaderboards, and the rating system.
To provide social features (friends, messaging, head-to-head stats).
To process in-app purchases.
To maintain security, prevent cheating and abuse, and provide support.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following processors:

Google Firebase (Authentication and Realtime Database) — Google LLC — stores account and gameplay data. Firebase privacy.
Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple — authentication.
Free Dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev) — returns word definitions for words you look up.
Apple App Store (and, in a future release, Google Play) — process in-app purchases. We never receive your full payment card details.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the processors listed above and where required by law. Other players can see your public profile (username, avatar, stats), your leaderboard and rating entries, and any messages you send them.

5. Legal Bases (GDPR / KVKK)

Where the GDPR or Turkish KVKK applies, we process your data on the bases of performance of our contract with you (providing the game), our legitimate interests (security and abuse prevention), and your consent where required.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your account data until you delete your account. You can delete your account at any time inside the App: open Profile and tap Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and associated data (scores, rating, friends, messages, saved games, and dictionary). Residual copies may persist briefly in routine backups before being overwritten. You may also request deletion by emailing us.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

8. International Transfers

Your data may be processed on servers located outside your country, including on Google's infrastructure. We rely on the safeguards offered by these providers.

9. Security

Data is stored on Google Firebase with access controls restricting each user to their own data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export, or object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
